Thanks, this is a great point!

I guess it’s important to make a distinction from what schools are trying to do, and how well they do it. You’re saying that they are trying to do the wrong thing (produce obedient workers) and I’m saying they aren’t even accomplishing that, because very few students actually put much energy into school, because it’s so boring. So I think our views are compatible, but you certainly added an important dimension to my original analysis.

Would you agree, or am I missing something?
